The Bible Institute runs a Winter School offering degree level, stand-alone, on-campus study courses for a two week period every June/July.  In 2019 we are offering three study courses and one seminar.  These courses form part of the Bachelor of Theology programme that runs full time on campus. But why study the book of ACTS?

Why study the book of ACTS and who is Darrell Bock?

Darrell Bock pic 2Luke wrote Acts  as a continuation of the account of Jesus and his followers and the formation of His Church.  The book of Acts gives us a historical record of how the early church started, how it grew, and what the Holy Spirit accomplished using ordinary men and women of the time.  We are able to understand the actions of the apostles, such as Peter and Paul, after the Lord Jesus's ascension into Heaven.

Studying this account will bring clarity not only to Christ’s purposes for His Church, but also His mission to the world.  We will see how born again believers can be guided by the Holy Spirit in living out their faith day by day.
