Hannah Arendse

If you are wondering who I am, and what my future plans look like I shall give you a little view into that. I am a third year student, and God-willing I will graduate this year.  My plans for after college are leaning towards studying at a postgraduate level.  I would love to be a primary school teacher one day, so I am trusting God to lead me where he wants me and praying that he will acknowledge the desires of my heart.

My home language is English and I come from a family of four, living in Cape Town. I accepted Jesus Christ into my life at a church Youth Camp when I was 16 but I struggled to fully surrender my life whilst in High School.  The turning point came when I had a conviction that I had to change.  I came to BISA straight after school and I saw, at Orientation Camp, people who loved God without limits.

Through studying at BISA I have grown to love the Bible and I sense that the Lord has softened my heart to prepare me for ministry. I have more compassion now, especially for children.

I am overwhelmed by God's goodness. He keeps showing me time after time that He will provide for me - even in my deepest need. Blessings like support for my college studies confirm God's calling for me to be at the Bible Institute of South Africa.

I am here because God ripped out my heart of stone and replaced it with a heart of flesh. He has been using me in children’s and youth ministry and I hope to one day be involved in church planting.
